The England cricket team might be banned from playing football in their warm-ups, but it turns out the reverse is not a problem at Tottenham.
You would often catch England’s cricketers having a kickabout before Rory Burns damaged ankle ligaments in a training match last year.
But rarely do you see it the other way round, that is until the Tottenham squad decided to pick up a bat and ball in training this week.
With Gareth Bale in the slips, Joe Hart bowling some fast left arm, Harry Kane on strike and Dele Alli fielding at mid-off – Jose Mourinho’s players showed they are men of many talents.
After Alli shared a stunning catch earlier this week, Tottenham released footage of the fun on Twitter today.
There was questionable batting from the likes of Ben Davies, and even more questionable slow right-arm from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
But it looks like Hart can play. The Englishman got in a fierce battle with Kane, who looks pretty handy himself.
Hart took Kane’s middle stump with a stunning delivery, before Kane got his own back by claiming the wicket of Hart moments later.
