The 2020/21 Championship season will start with Watford hosting Middlesbrough on the September 12 opening day.
The new second tier campaign is just over three weeks away with Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich all aiming to make an immediate return to the Premier League.
Neil Warnock’s Boro are the first opponents for new Watford boss Vladimir Ivic as a tough opener lies in store for the little-known Serbian, while Jason Tindall’s first game in charge of Bournemouth will be at home against Blackburn.
The 42-year-old has replaced Eddie Howe at the Vitality Stadium following the Cherries’ relegation from the Premier League after five years in the top flight.
Norwich begin with a trip to Huddersfield, who have appointed Carlos Corberan as their new manager.
Meanwhile, Wycombe defied all the odds by winning promotion to the Championship with a 2-1 defeat of Oxford United in the League One play-off final last term.
Subsequently, Gareth Ainsworth’s side will play their first ever Championship match against fellow newcomers Rotherham.
Furthermore, there are other highly-anticipated opening day clashes with Preston taking on Swansea and Queens Park Rangers facing Nottingham Forest.
