Yoel Romero has been forced out of his Middleweight fight against Uriah Hall, which was scheduled to go down at the upcoming UFC Vegas 7 event on Aug. 22, 2020, inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
That’s according to BJPenn.com, who also revealed that reasons for his withdrawal from the co-main event bout were unknown.
Romero was looking to end his three-fight skid after dropping fights to current 185-pound champion, Israel Adesanya, ex-champion Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa. Hall, on the other hand, has gone 3-1 in his last four and was looking for a huge bump up with a win over “Soldier of God.”
As it stands, the promotion has a little under two weeks to find a suitable replacement to face “Prime Time.” Care to offer up a suggestion or three?
Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz, who were recently yanked from this weekend’s (Sat., Aug. 15, 2020) UFC 252 event, will spearhead this event. Also, Angela Hill will face Michelle Waterson in women’s Strawweight action.
