Life of a Major League ballplayer isn’t as always as glamorous as it may seem. Take Edwin Rios for example. The Dodgers’ slugger took a ball down an in off of his big toe and had to limp to first base.
Rios appeared to be okay and did stay in the game for a while after. He was removed in the 6th inning when Chris Taylor came into the game. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave an update on Rios who had to undergo a nasty treatment.
Beaty is find after being hit by pitch, Edwin Rios not so much. An x-ray on his toe came back negative but they had to drain blood from his toe.
I apologize for this news tweet.

I’m not sure what it means to drain blood out of a big toe, but it can’t be great. X-rays on the Dodgers first baseman came back negative though, and Roberts expects him back in the lineup.
Dodgers Look for Series Win
The Dodgers will play one more game in San Diego looking for the series win on Wednesday night. Ross Stripling is set to take the mound for Los Angeles, making his third start of the season. His last appearance came on Thursday in Arizona when he allowed three runs in 5.1 innings.
